Registry Settings For Start Menu

Setting The Registry To The Start Menu
The following is intended to the registry settings in Windows the Start MenuXP.

Hide Menu Find on the Start Menu
1. open Regedit.exe
(you can look it up in C:\WINDOWS\ or click the Start Menu-> Run-> type regedit).
2. go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
3. right-click the folder Explorer in the left pane, select New-> DWORD Value
4. give the name of the DWORD Value with the name "NoFind".
5. click Double NoFind, fill in the Value data to 0 or 1
(0 = show, 1 = hide).
Hides the Menu of the Document on the Start Menu
1. open Regedit.exe
(you can look it up in C:\WINDOWS\ or click the Start Menu-> Run-> type regedit).
2. go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
3. right-click the folder Explorer in the left pane, select New-> DWORD Value
4. give the name of the DWORD Value with the name "NoRecentDocsMenu".
5. click Double NoRecentDocsMenu, fill in the Value data to 0 or 1
(0 = show, 1 = hide).
Hide Menu Run on Start Menu
1. open Regedit.exe
(you can look it up in C:\WINDOWS\ or click the Start Menu-> Run-> type regedit).
2. go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
3. right-click the folder Explorer in the left pane, select New-> DWORD Value
4. give the name of the DWORD Value with the name "NoRun".
5. click Double NoRun, fill in the Value data to 0 or 1
(0 = show, 1 = hide).

Hide the Taskbar Settings on the Start Menu
1. open Regedit.exe
(you can look it up in C:\WINDOWS\ or click the Start Menu-> Run-> type regedit).
2. go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
3. right-click the folder Explorer in the left pane, select New-> DWORD Value
4. give the name of the DWORD Value with the name "NoSetTaskbar".
5. click Double NoSetTaskbar, the contents of the Value data to 0 or 1
(0 = show, 1 = hide).
Hide Button Logoff on the Start Menu
1. open Regedit.exe
(you can look it up in C:\WINDOWS\ or click the Start Menu-> Run-> type regedit).
2. go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
3. right-click the folder Explorer in the left pane, select New-> DWORD Value
4. give the name of the DWORD Value with the name "NoLogOff".
5. click Double NoLogOff, the contents of the Value data to 0 or 1
(0 = show, 1 = hide).
Hide Start Menu subfolders
1. open Regedit.exe
(you can look it up in C:\WINDOWS\ or click the Start Menu-> Run-> type regedit).
2. go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
3. right-click the folder Explorer in the left pane, select New-> DWORD Value
4. give the name of the DWORD Value with the name "NoStartMenuSubFolders".
5. Double Click NoStartMenuSubFolders, the contents of the Value data to 0 or 1
(0 = show, 1 = hide).
Hide the buttons of All programs on the Start Menu
1. open Regedit.exe
(you can look it up in C:\WINDOWS\ or click the Start Menu-> Run-> type regedit).
2. go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\
3. right-click the folder Explorer in the left pane, select New-> DWORD Value
4. give the name of the DWORD Value with the name "NoStartMenuMorePrograms".
5. click Double NoStartMenuMorePrograms, the contents of the Value data to 0 or 1
(0 = show, 1 = hide).
